BIOGRAPHY

Born in London in 1956. I am an artist with no formal training...an outsider...but with a rich family lineage in the visual arts...initially I used beachcombed flotsam and jetsam and now use any found objects...cheap materials and a variety of things fossicked from flea markets...skips and street finds to generate work that carries a narrative using allegory...metaphor...myth... analogy...the arcane...and fairy stories/fables...using sacred geometry and Fibonacci principles which when combined allow the exploration of symmetry and asymmetry as well as a means to connect the symbology of objects with the observer....a Dadaist at heart...I am always looking to find new ways with which to express the beauty of this incredible world we inhabit.... hugely indebted to Marcel Duchamp...the ready made and assemblage have become an integral part of the work...over the past few years I have been building ''3d collages'' which are then filmed and then deconstructed allowing the construction of the next one...they are made in collaboration with Melbourne musical explorer Peter Schofield...
